Set-Up Tasks for a New Blackberry Phone


Just bought a Blackberry phone? Well, it is so feature packed that it will probably take you some time to go through all of them and you will want to spend some time playing with your new phone.

Setting up wallpaper, maybe getting some custom Blackberry ringtones, putting up a cool screensaver, checking out the games and other fun stuff. But, here are some requisite tasks that are necessary to ensure your Blackberry is up to date and set up properly.

1. One important task is to make sure the software is up to date. Sometimes it may not be, since the software phones can be outdated, either because it comes straight from the factory, or if you bought a used phone that user may not have installed the latest software. Just visit Blackberry Updates to see the latest updates and software available.

2. Run setup wizard. This is a very handy feature and will remove unnecessary languages from the phone, which will save space and the wizard will also set up email.

3. Upload your personal information like contacts, settings and calendars.

You can do this three different ways:  

1) Switch device wizard

2) Restore from a backup file

3) Serial sync with supported organizer systems:
