A stretchable mobile phone??? Apparently it is true, Morph, a Nokia Morph Mobile Phoneflexible mobile phone being flaunted by Nokia and the University of Cambridge. This is sure to become the device of the future.

This phone is now being showcased at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and is displayed in the "Design and the Elastic Mind" exhibition.

This phone is made using nanotechnology and demonstrates the ultimate technology of the future because it can be stretched and bent into different shapes, and morphing it into any shape they want. It's like the Gumby of mobile phones.

Nokia stated that this concept really shows the usefulness and future of nanotechnology that will be able to deliver flexible and transparent electronics as well as self-cleaning surfaces.

Of course, this technology is still in very early development, but Nokia is confident that it can be used in some high-end devices within seven years. And, because nanotechnology lowers manufacturing costs it will surely become a part of Nokia's entire product line eventually.
